Dominic is telling the truth - There is no merge coming, but the deletion of inactive (and possibly banned) accounts IS coming.
In an attempt to combat the whole "rare name" thing, Sulake are going to be allowing EVERYONE one username change, and instead of rewriting something completely new to do it with, they are just going to reuse the old username change option we were given when we merged over to Habbo.com from our respective hotels. If something works right, why change it?
Also worth noting; This will be happening for Habbo.com, and POSSIBLY Habbo.es, and Habbo.com.br - From what I know, the smaller hotels will NOT be getting this, so don't get too excited about it unless you're someone who frequents Habbo.com.
Dates for this to go into effect should be between October - December. It should NOT extend into January. They will not be deleting ALL inactive accounts at once. It will be a slow process like it was last time.
Hope I have cleared up some confusion here.
