Habbo Statistics 2023

If, for the world, 2023 will be remembered as a year of high temperatures, for Habbo, it will be another year with downward trends in relation to user activities. Historically, the hottest months, which coincide with holiday periods, boost engagement at the hotel, but figures from last year reveal that extreme heat will not be able to save Habbo.

Although Habbo registered a dizzying increase in new avatars, this fact did not positively and significantly impact other functions of the hotel, such as SnowStorm's audience or group purchasing, which continued to decline. Therefore, there is suspicion of the massive and irregular creation of new avatars by some users with the intention of disrupting or obtaining benefits in the community, a problem that has already been recognized by Sulake previously. On the other hand, it may also indicate the company's difficulty in retaining its users.

This is an article from the Habbo Statistics project, developed by fansites, presenting an annual summary of the main user activities: avatar registration, group purchasing, room creation, among others. Data from 2023 are compared with data from 2022. It should be borne in mind that due to Habbo's privacy policies, it is possible that some numbers are not exact, but the accuracy is greater than 99%.

Avatars

Registration of new avatars grew in 5 of the 9 hotels, driven by Habbo.es and Habbo.com. Globally, 5,536,447 avatars were registered in 2023, 100.6% more than the previous year. These numbers reverse the downward trend of the last two years.

Groups

Even with the larger community, fewer groups are being purchased on Habbo. Habbo.de, Habbo.fi and Habbo.nl recorded growth in group sales. In total, 48,759 groups were purchased, 10.26% less than the previous year.

Rooms

The pace of room creation increased in 7 hotels, including the same hotels where there was an increase in the creation of avatars, due to the pre-assembled rooms automatically generated with the new avatars. Worldwide, users created 2,805,396 rooms, an increase of 70.80%.

Limited Edition Rares

Habbo made 47,150 items available to the community, of which 26,462 were sold, representing a sale rate of 56.12%. To reach these figures, the community spent 15,949,500 credits and 2,885,825 diamonds in 2023.

In 2022, the sales rate was 64.68% (down from 8.56% in 2023). This difference does not indicate that sales are falling on Habbo, but rather that Sulake has not reached an efficiency equal to or greater than 2022, in a scenario where the supply of items has increased, as well as demand.

Following the trend launched in December 2022, Sulake dedicated the year 2023 to releasing clothing LTDs, and this changed the sales landscape in the hotels. Habbo.com.br, which previously had the worst sales rate (30.09% in 2022), became the third hotel with the best sales rate in 2023 (66.74%).


SnowStorm

SnowStorm's audience decreased by 41.84%, with an average of 1075 players per week. The peak of players occurred between February 6th and 12th, with 1927 users playing. On the other hand, the worst week was between October 9th and 15th, with only 698 users playing.
